Some of you are already aware of this, but this October 4-12, I will be traveling up the west coast with seven other Fantasy authors as part of the Fantasy Fiction Tour ’08.
This is a fantastic opportunity for me on a lot of levels. First and foremost, it is a great chance to promote my now complete, The Binding of the Blade series. Beyond that, though, it will be a great chance to spend time with, get to know, and otherwise fellowship with some fellow writers. Allow me to make the introductions in case you don’t know some of them. Starting at the top left of the picture above, they are: Donita K. Paul, Wayne Thomas Batson, Jonathan Rogers, Bryan Davis, (now bottom row, left to right) Eric Reinhold, some handsome fellow in a leather jacket standing on a ferry & gazing pensively out over the river, Sharon Hinck and Christopher Hopper. So now that we know you’re on a ferry in your author pic, which ferry would that be?

It’s a ferry here in St. Louis – St. Charles, actually. There’s a little, country-style restaurant called Kinders we like to go to, but we have to take a ferry to get there.
Yup, though I’m sure it will be taxing, the Tour should be fun.

Last year’s tour was absolutely amazing, LB. The fellowship you speak of was there in a powerful way. There was one moment when Christopher, Sharon, Bryan, and I were standing in the door, waiting to go on stage. I was in back staring over their shoulders. Now, picture this: we’re all decked out in cloaks, swords, medieval gear. I had a serious moment at that time, for I have always wanted to go on a “real” adventure. I just suddenly realized that God had given me the desire of my heart.
I cannot imagine the coolness that 8 of us will foster. Never alone.
